Don’t be fooled by the cliché of a tightly packed dinky neighbourhood eatery, a never-ending menu and a mainly Asian clientele, because Car Bon has plenty of other succulent appeals up its sleeve. The food is authentic, with a focus on the Sichuan region. Examples include a wonton of minced meat and langoustines in a spicy, highly aromatic stock, or a slowly cooked aubergine in a highly addictive yuxiang sauce.
