This small restaurant is run by a Portuguese-Brazilian chef couple, Leandro Silva and Catarina Monteiro (she is usually more present in the dining room), who show genuine passion for the kitchen and an unconditional commitment to the project. Together they have created a fusion proposal which, rooted in both their professional paths and life experiences, combines influences from Portugal, Spain and all of Latin America, while always taking Portuguese produce as its base. The name says it all: “DUOO” in reference to themselves, and “Gastro Theatre” as an ode to presentation, since diners sit at a Japanese-inspired counter to watch, in detail, all the chefs’ work at the stoves. The experience revolves around two tasting menus (Muralha and Ria), as well as an à la carte service and an executive menu at lunchtime.
