The kitchen’s inspiration here comes largely from Spain and France, so you can expect to find the likes of fried squid with chorizo alongside brill meunière. Do start with some crispy snacks to go with a cocktail or manzanilla sherry, like barbajuan fritters or buttermilk fried chicken in pine. The young team run the room – which boasts proper bistro vibes – with calmness and good humour. Expect some prime produce to share too – it’s worth remembering that The Clove Club are behind this operation and the two restaurants use the same high-quality suppliers.
