In stark contrast to the quaint historic street on which it stands, this restaurant has a colourfully lit dopamine interior covered in painterly patterns. But instead of viennoiseries and fancy sweets, it specialises in refined Jiangzhe fare with a modern touch. The signature deep-fried pork ribs in fermented shrimp paste with dried chilli boast juicy meat and exude heady aromas. For larger parties, pre-order the golden wontons in free-range chicken broth.
