In the heart of town, yet with no parking difficulties, and slightly elevated above the lake – just a few kilometers away – stands one of the most reliable venues for exploring the local gastronomic tradition, both lake and land. The menu is an irresistible invitation, difficult to exhaust in a single sitting: from Bergamo’s giant sheep to delicate lake trout meatballs, from house-made casoncelli pasta to excellent roast rabbit, served with Rovetta polenta that pairs beautifully with a classic such as beef braised in olive oil. Alongside traditional desserts, a carefully curated selection of Bergamasque cheeses provides an ideal finale. Wine may be selected directly from the generous display of bottles or chosen with guidance from the owner, ever-present in the dining room with both expertise and warmth.
