Less a hotel than a restaurant with rooms, Edinbane Lodge makes its home on the Isle of Skye, in a hunting lodge that dates back to 1543. That’s not to say the rooms are unremarkable — in fact the six of them combine local tweeds and tartans and a full complement of tasteful modern comforts, to great effect. But the main reasons to venture this deep into Skye are the landscapes, the seascapes, and of course the restaurant, which serves a menu of painstakingly locally sourced fare, derived from traditional recipes and preparations.
