Raa Atoll is one of the Maldives' more remote destinations, and Heritance Aarah makes good use of the isolation: a 28-acre island of thatched villas, open-sided communal spaces, and coral reef on all sides. The 25 overwater Ocean suites are adults-only, with a dedicated restaurant serving six-course evening menus and à la carte lunches. Ambula does inventive Sri Lankan-Maldivian small plates on the beach below an open-air sky bar worth claiming a sofa at before sunset. Duplex suites add a glass floor panel, two bathrooms, and an over-water infinity plunge pool with a daybed swing. Butler service and a medi-spa, the first of its kind in the Maldives, come as standard across the all-inclusive offering.
