In the smart Gern neighbourhood, a short distance from Nymphenburg Palace, Jürgen Wolfsgruber – known for his restaurants in Schwabing, Sparkling Bistro and Das Tschecherl – has now opened another inviting establishment serving Austrian-inspired cuisine. Diners can either opt for the five-course "Ö-Makase" surprise menu or choose from the small selection of appealing à a la carte options such as Grammelknödel (potato dumplings stuffed with greaves) or soused brown trout. Attentive service comes courtesy of a well-coordinated team of friendly and adept waitstaff, who reliably provide astute wine recommendations. The well-curated wine list includes options by the glass. A laid-back bistro atmosphere reigns inside; outside, there is a lovely terrace.
