The basement of the Altus Palace Hotel – a beautifully restored building from the 19th century – makes a wonderful setting for this elegant restaurant with atmospheric red-brick walls and a vaulted ceiling. The well-travelled chef crafts dishes combining the classic with the subtly creative, leading to the likes of Jersualem artichoke foam with mushrooms and egg yolk or beef rib with potato and truffle.
