The 12th edition of the guide to Kyoto Osaka recognises 265 establishments listed in Kyoto and 222 establishments in Osaka, as well as a brand new selection for the Okayama region. The Green Star makes its debut as a new emblem highlighting Sustainable Gastronomy.

The new Okayama selection celebrates 204 establishments including 2 Two-Star restaurants, 18 One-Star restaurants, 28 Bib Gourmand restaurants, 193 recommended restaurants plus 11 ryokans and hotels. The Green Star makes its debut as a new emblem highlighting Sustainable Gastronomy.

The MICHELIN Guide announces the cancellation of the MICHELIN Star Revelation 2020 in Singapore, due to the long period of closure of restaurants during the COVID-19 crisis.

The 2020 edition of the Guide to Guangzhou, China, includes two Two-Star restaurants, 10 One-Star restaurants, 31 Bib Gourmand restaurants and 46 Michelin Plate restaurants.

The inaugural edition of the MICHELIN Guide Taipei & Taichung recognises 1 new 2-star restaurant and 3 new 1-star restaurants in Taipei and 1 new 2-star restaurant and 3 new one-star venues in Taichung.

The 2020 Bib Gourmand selection for Taipei and Taichung highlights 31 restaurants and 23 street food stalls in Taipei and 21 venues in the city of Taichung, which is covered by the Guide for the very first time this year.

Together with tourism boards and local welfare organisations, Michelin’s offices across Asia rallied chefs of Michelin Guide restaurants to create and deliver nutritious meals for medical workers and the less fortunate to encourage them through these trying times.

Michelin and Food Bank Singapore partner with 20 MICHELIN-starred, Bib Gourmand and Plate restaurants and hawkers to donate 2,000 portions of nutritious meals for families in need during Singapore’s Circuit Breaker.
