The magnificent location alone – against a stunning mountain backdrop – makes it worth coming to Berghuus. The interior decor is just as charming: carefully restored, the historical timber house oozes charm with its upscale aesthetic combining rustic style and modern touches. The cuisine features regional ingredients, the provenance of which is stated on the menu. In the evening, choose from six dishes, half of which are vegetarian, to put together a three-course meal. There is also a small à la carte menu featuring traditional regional classics. And be sure to take a look at the wine list, which includes some well-known names. The cosy guestrooms are in keeping with the inviting feel of the whole place – making an overnight stay an appealing option. N.B.
