A former post station for letters and horses in Bagno Vignoni, Hotel La Posta has belonged to the Marcucci family since the mid-19th century, when they transformed a roadside inn with a grocery and post office into a place of hospitality in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. The thermal waters of Bagno Vignoni have fed the property's pools since the 1970s, and the 35 rooms are furnished with period pieces alongside contemporary touches. La Rocca restaurant looks out over the UNESCO-listed valley; Bar Verde keeps a record player going at the counter. The hotel welcomes guests aged 14 and over.
