Between the Estrela Garden, the antique dealers of Rua de São Bento, and the neighborhood square of Praça das Flores, this ten-room guesthouse is the kind of place Lisbon does better than almost anywhere. The terracotta facade gives little away; inside, rooms arranged around a patio and garden each tell a different story, one draped in dark walls and crystal chandeliers, another in rattan and white linen, another in cobalt blue. Objects gathered from travels worldwide furnish each space. The garden serves as a breakfast spot in summer; come autumn, the stove-warmed lobby takes over.
