Fou du Goût manages to be both chic and cosy and the conservatory is definitely the best spot in the house. Thomas Cocquyt has a penchant for giving familiar flavours an exotic twist – chicken cooked in a spicy masala sauce, or pan-fried plaice with smoked eel and a beurre blanc infused with a yuzu gel for a tangy citrus burst. But you will also find sole meunière with fresh fries and venison in Arlequin sauce. The chef is a past master in the art of balancing bold flavours with a touch of intrigue. A firm favourite in the Meetjesland region!
