The exclusive boutique hotel is just one aspect of this beautiful old establishment boasting a fabulous view all the way to Lake Constance. In the restaurant run by two MICHELIN-starred chefs, Andreas Caminada and Silvio Germann, the latter is behind the creative dishes. He uses the finest ingredients in elaborate but unfussy cuisine, pared down but imbued with real depth of flavour. A rather unassuming name such as "salmon – lettuce" belies a wealth of complexity: premium Lostallo salmon, delicately seasoned and flame-kissed, served with an emulsified buttermilk and lettuce broth, finished with an intense herb oil. In late autumn, be sure to try the house-made tagliatelle with white truffles. Over 1 000 different wines to accompany the fantastic food are stored in the chic, modern wine cellar. The service team is headed up by maître d' Giuseppe Lo Vasco, who is exceedingly attentive, charming and knowledgeable. The decor is an elegant blend of traditional and modern, and the terrace is wonderful. In summer, an aperitif in the garden is an absolute must!
