Another member of Andreas Caminada's IGNIV family. Designed by Patricia Urquiola, this restaurant in Andermatt's Reuss district showcases impeccable taste and modern elegance, with artwork by Gina Fischli, David Renggli and Philip Taaffe adorning the walls. Chef Valentin Sträuli, a young talent, who trained under Andreas Caminada and previously worked in the kitchen at Schloss Schauenstein, maintains allegiance to the IGNIV tradition while weaving in his own culinary vision. The result is extremely intense and punchy dishes, such as the super-fresh whitefish cut into fine strips and marinated in a green leche de tigre made from puréed jalapeños and sansho leaves, accompanied by an exceptionally delicate celeriac cream. The highlight is the four-course "Sharing Experience", which you have the option of supplementing with further dishes. Led by sommelier Hannah van den Nieuwenhuizen, the excellent service team guides you with charm and expertise – and for the finale, you can look forward to the "Candy Store". Take the opportunity to sample the cocktail creations in the bar area – or coffee and cake in the afternoon. The terrace is the ideal spot for an aperitif or digestif.
