Marked only by a discreet green sign by the main door to a residential building in northern Belgrade, you might miss this establishment if you don’t keep a sharp lookout. On the first floor you’ll find two dining rooms and a vintage-style lounge that is ideal to start the evening over an aperitif while a turntable plays vinyl records. Youthful chef Anđela ‘Angie’ Risimić, not yet thirty, is back in Serbia after learning the ropes across Europe and has taken over the restaurant where she worked prior to embarking on her globetrotting tour. She puts her international training, especially what she learned in Italy, to excellent use, crafting a menu that seamlessly slaloms between crisp Italian flavours, such as rabbit-filled ravioli with mushroom sauce or tiramisu, and pedigree Serbian dishes. Our inspector was particularly impressed by the zander, served over a freshwater fish soup seasoned with peppers and finished with a delicate cauliflower cream.
