Devasom Hua Hin, however, opts for something much more historically informed. Its architecture is unmistakably an homage to Thai tradition, and its interiors feature not only soft seaside colors but a tasteful degree of ornamentation as well, resulting in a warmth that’s rare among newly built luxury resorts.
Accommodations range from rooms to suites to villas; they start out spacious enough and only grow from there. With only 24 units, however, it easily maintains an intimate atmosphere, and the village-like layout lends itself to privacy. On-site attractions include an infinity pool and a fine beach, and the cuisine is a particular point of pride.
