Le Rose Thé has stood across from the beach at La Ciotat since the 1930s, long enough for its curvaceous forms to pass from state-of-the-art to delightfully retro. This is no grand hotel, but a boutique hotel avant la lettre — a mere 15 rooms and suites, each one lately decorated in a simple modern style that makes liberal use of graphic murals and classic Provençal colors. A few come with sea-facing balconies or terraces, perhaps even with an outdor Jacuzzi; all enjoy the presence of Le Rose Thé’s bar and Mediterranean restaurant.
