The first hotel to open in the French Quarter in half a century, One11 certainly isn’t short of character. Thankfully it’s at the fringes of the neighborhood, closer to the river than to Bourbon Street, and it’s set in a one-time sugar factory whose industrial bones provide it with plenty of architectural interest. There’s a touch of loft-style living to the rooms, many of which feature brick walls and exposed joists and columns, but the overall impression is one of richness and warmth. Batture Bistro + Bar is a large and versatile space, serving everything from breakfast and brunch on through to the last cocktail of the night.
