The Mercado do Bolhão, a bustling marketplace occupying a Beaux-Arts landmark in Porto’s historic center, served as the creative inspiration for the boutique hotel around the corner. Like the market, Vincci Bonjardim is bright and airy, featuring traditional Portuguese design elements from wrought-iron window frames to painted ceramic tilework.
Food and drinks are a focus, naturally, and the rooftop restaurant, with its angular glass partitions and floral arrangements that call to mind vendors’ kiosks, is a particular delight.
