This casual, yet stylish eatery, which sports a terrace opposite, has been a prominent feature of the Antwerp F&B scene for donkey’s years. Seasoned chef Tim Meuleneire crafts, on one side, a lineup of house specials with an Italian slant, and on the other, signature dishes that bear a distinctly Gallic touch. He pays tribute to the ingredient in recipes like pheasant, cooked rare and served with an Albufeira sauce, peppery au gratin potatoes and endive stuffed with a stew of pheasant legs. Vibrant, succulent recipes underscored by a first-rate wine list, without forgetting a jazzy wine bar packed in character upstairs.
