This welcoming restaurant established by a pair of chefs is set in the charming district of Neuenheim. Attractive decorative features such as large-format black-and-white photographs, bold red accents and the open-view kitchen all help to create an inviting atmosphere, complemented by exceptionally courteous service. There is a choice of three set menus, one of which is vegetarian, with the possibility to order dishes individually à la carte. The Chateaubriand set menu for two needs to be pre-ordered – the main course is presented with the classic béarnaise sauce and potato gratin. The restaurant takes its name from its location at the foot of the Philosophenweg, a well-known and much-loved walking path overlooking the Old Town and the castle across the Neckar River.
