This appealing concept combining delicatessen, café and bistro is the "little brother", as it were, of Feine Kost. Sharing the same premises, both belong to seasoned chef Mario Pattis. Kantine – open during the day – has a short menu that is supplemented by a handful of daily specials. The recipes stick close to the seasons and to products available in the delicatessen. Thanks to the open kitchen, diners are able to watch as delicious, meticulous dishes that won't break the bank are carefully prepared – the quiche is particularly popular. The service is friendly and down-to-earth. Tip: Choose a nice bottle of wine or something delicious from the extensive delicatessen selection to take home with you. The restaurant is slightly hidden away in a tree-lined courtyard, where tables are set up on the pretty terrace for al fresco dining in summer.
